The problem
We wanted to know how fast a new site could be cited by AI assistants with no authority, no backlink profile and no history. The received wisdom is that you need authority first. This was built to test whether that is actually true.
What we did
-
Structure before authority
Every page built answer-first with sourced comparison data, on the assumption that clarity might substitute for domain strength.
-
One question per page, at volume
Comparison and specification questions, each given its own page rather than bundled into long guides.
-
Plain-text copies for crawlers
A markdown version of each page at the same address, which costs nothing and makes the content trivial to read.
