The problem
Not a client problem but a test. We wanted a site in a competitive, grant-influenced, high-consideration sector, built with our own money, so that everything about it could be shown to prospective clients without asking anyone for permission.
What we did
-
Built static and fast
The same stack we sell: no page builder, no plugins, a mobile load time comfortably inside two seconds.
-
One page per real question
Hardware comparisons, installed costs, grant eligibility. Answer first, figure in the first paragraph, source linked where one exists.
-
Rebuilt through the dip
Traffic fell through the middle of the period after an algorithm update. We rewrote rather than waited, and the recovery took it well past the previous peak.
